Excellent show, well acted, well written, well directed, well produced, outstanding cast.
There are times while watching I am not even reading the subtitles and I still seem to know exactly what the characters are saying to each other.
What I really like is how smoothly the show flows, no dead spots, not a minute when I am looking at the clock thinking about what time I have to get up in the morning or if I remembered to put out the trash today.
It holds your attention and keeps you in the moment.
And the odd, almost love/hate relationship between the two main characters is brilliantly acted by virtual newcomers Gaia Girace and Margherita Mazzucco who's subtle performances of an underlying tension and often competitive bond that these two girls share is remarkable.
Season 2 isn't even over yet and I can't wait for S/3 to start.
Kudos to the directors and writers.
Shows such as this always compel me to read the original material, I will no doubt read at least the first novel by Elena Ferrante just as soon as my library or the book stores open again. (I never buy books online and I read a lot)
