I loved the casting of the movie and it was definitely relatable. I didn't go through eighth grade but we all go through adolescence and finding ourselves. Somewhere halfway through the movie I wanted to skip ahead because I felt the plot was moving a bit slow. Especially where the guy stopped the car. I kept thinking, "dude are you gonna take her home or what?? No!!! Stop. I just can't stand this *rolls_eyes". I found it very cringy. What I took out of Eighth grade is that:-
1. Family is key if they're awesome, like the dad
2. Even when things are going wrong, you gotta convince yourself that it'll get better.
I don't get why it's categorised as a comedy though...
Great watch still, I'd recommend it
