First off, I’m a Radiohead fan. Hearing ‘Everything in its right place’ from the ‘Kid A’ album during the infill sequence was awesome. Caught myself singing along. Second: I am not a movie reviewer. This movie was pretty doggone good. I will say that if any film looks even somewhat interesting to me, I will immediately stop watching the trailer. Similarly, Dune part 2 coming out this November, I have purposely not watched any trailers. Same thing for ‘Killers of the Flower moon’. Not watching the trailer. It looks too good to spoil its content. Trailers show an entire film in short bursts. I don’t want to witness films this way if I like what the film is about.
‘The Creator’ is set in a time where I could potentially still be alive. Boston Dynamics (DARPA) is the closest thing we have today in real life that could even come close to a reality in the future this film is based on. ‘Nomad’ is anti-Gadsden Flag material and is fear-based. The story is tear welling-worthy and bittersweet.
I would consider watching it again. I saw it yesterday (20230928), Thursday, in Texas.
The visuals are pretty good. ‘Off the chain’ good. Action is good too.
I recommend this movie to anyone interested in a good Sci-fi flick.
