Dee Miller – Google

I can't believe how awful this film is and I so wanted to love it. Not sure how many writers worked on it but they were each writing a different movie. Is it supposed to be a teen coming-of-age thing, some dodgy sci-fi starring Willem Dafoe and the cast of CHiPs or Beetlejuice? The first half of the film was totally unnecessary, the characters played by Dafoe, Bellucci and Theroux were utterly redundant and only served to make the whole thing clunky and disconnected. I feel for Michael Keaton having to star in this pile of excrement. He was great (again) as Beetlejuice and his talent has been done a great disservice. Other than Beetlejuice, the best character in this steaming heap is Bob. May he rest in peace. I don't know what happened here, though it feels like people tried to cram all they could into this movie and actually ended up not caring about the finished product. A great shame and a wasted opportunity. Avoid wasting your money at the cinema and rewatch the first (and brilliant) one instead.
