I rarely would say this but…. Not enough “cooks in the kitchen”. Usually, any movie “Written by”, “Directed by”, “Edited by” all the same person is a red flag unless Quentin Tarantino’s name follows. Either this filmmaker would not listen to anyone’s constructive criticism or the people on the payroll didn’t want to lose their gig by speaking up. The story is nonsensical, the effects are amateur, Pooh and Piglet look like they belong in a maze at Knott’s Scary Farm, the kills are unimaginative for a slasher involving Pooh characters, I don’t care about any of the characters so watching them die is like watching paint dry, it’s basically on the level of a film school project. The only positive I can say about this movie is that the production value is at least somewhat high and it has one or two good set pieces. Fun idea, just not executed to make it a fun movie.
