Have watched this twice over the twenty years since it first came out.
Each time I’ve been moved both by the story line. and the acting.
John Thaw in particular is outstanding, but also the other actors are excellent.
I watched it tonight and am still feeling very emotional, thank goodness for the happy ending!

Incredibly moving, with some marvellous supporting actors.
It was nice to see Tom Hanks son actually playing his dad as a younger man.
Superb performance by Tom Hanks, perhaps a potential Oscar winner?
