People shouldn't let the negative reviews keep them from seeing this movie. It's exactly what it's supposed to be --- a slam-bang special effects filled, save the earth from distruction sci-fi movie with a big, creative twist ending.

Overall I enjoyed it, but it was missing one thing --- the wry humor of the Ash character from the original movies and streaming series to help all the blood and gore to go down easier. I did appreciate the wink and nod to the bloody elevator scene from The Shining.
