My problem with it is Season 2 episode 16. They were talking about the purple colum of light. It's not a camera malfunction. I live in Madison AL and was going out to Triana to pick up my car after a tornado was in the area several years ago. My sister, my daughter and I saw a purple colum of light. We got a photo back then but I have a different phone now and cannot prove what I say. But your explanation of camera exposure is incorrect. We SAW it. Don't know what it is but we DID see it.
