The game is fun, naval combat was really cool, but this game really missed out on having some land based combat. Maybe it was to avoid being too similar to AC Black Flag, but having only naval combat can make it very repetitive. I think watching the initial previews made me think there would be some combat, either on land itself or when boarding a ship. I wouldn't mind getting off the ship to gather resources and being able to use a flintlock in some land based combat. I truly think that adding this would not only present so many more opportunities to players, it would also provide longevity to the game and make it maintain a player base!

The game play was absolutely amazing and I had so much fun playing it. Teaming up with another person was awesome too and everyone was super helpful. The different upgrades and possible downgrades kept things spicy too! The only reason I am giving Returnal four stars and not five is because of the story. While it seems extremely interesting and keeps you guessing the "explanation" was disappointing. I can see how this might make some people happy but it did not thrill me. I really do recommend playing this game! The gameplay far outweighs any negative aspect!
