Impressed with the variety and skill of directors. I so enjoyed each episode as a new "loop" story, or tale.
I found it interesting that even with sophisticated technology, age-old problems such as family safety, nosey neighbors or money problems still exist. Or that families employed by "the loop" enjoyed an upper class lifestyle while those working "above ground" were tethered by income and struggled.
The backdrop seems to be the late 70s (ish) which I found unusual but it works brilliantly. In fact, present day wouldn't have worked because we have lost our once inherent curiosity that drives several of the episodes, or tales.
The lack of transparency from those in or related to the loop, to those living above ground, is disconcerting. Perhaps the episodes are knocks on our own doors about being transparent as guests from throughout the universe visit us?
A few of the tales struggle with mothers who are completely absorbed with their "loop" work, neglecting their children to such an extent that siblings parent each other. The splintered families are a 180 from today's tight rein on kids.
The tales are wonderful. Such a welcome change. You'll find a slice of your childhood peppered in the tales. Yesteryear meets present day? There's a lot in there. Don't miss it.
