GREAT art film. Very relevant even today. This is the only movie I paid to see in the theater 8 times. They played it in the basement theater at the casino, velvet couches, we could smoke and drink. I'm spoiled on movie experience.

I've been waiting 30 years for the Washington Olympic rowing champ story. The competition is top notch. The acting, directing, sets, are ALL superb! I only have one complaint; do my people really think starvation, poverty and orphans have vanished? It's FAR worse now. There's no legal way to sleep in a vehicle. There's NO soup kitchens anymore. There's even real time fascists following the felonious ex president, yet many can't begin to realize they bet on the wrong horse back in the past. An entire population saw it from worse positions than those English boys even IN university back then. Start the deconstruction or even this generational film fan will have to be the one to tell you this industry died with theaters - Decades ago. Stop the propoganda, we all see through it.

Excellent female lead. Who wrote this? Who directed it? Who is that actress but more importantly Who captured WOMEN so well? This is deadass accurate explanation of my 50 year old west coast woman lived experience. This master class female study. The weather, the cycles, the relationship all BEAUTIFULLY married with love and sex, desire and loss. I'm only 30 minutes in and I LOVE this film. This IS CINEMA! BRAVO!

I stumbled across this show blindly looking for something new to watch and I was immediately hooked on the RAW talent of the writing, actors and rich, diverse, honest, CURRENT plot. Two enthusiastic thumbs up! - to age myself instantly. I LOVE this show.

So deep and raw. Character arches are realistic and show across and through the screen. I KNOW these people and don't. I want to know them but I'm not worth of their empathy. (If that makes sense).

I made it to Episode 5. Something was gnawing at me as I watched, something was seriously 'off' and it finally hit me; this is the most ableist program I've watched in a VERY long time. It's sidestepped with bits of incomplete science, biology and 'health' but it's steeped in classism, ageism and really ignorant racism. The white washing is blatant and I don't think it's just in the Hollywood Thor actor that added to the massive issues but is now extremely clear that the blonde man climbing ropes in his Los Angeles mansion next to his model wife with trainers left and right telling him to fast by choice - I'm sorry, I lost my point or my point caught up with me (one of the two). I can never get this time back that I've wasted watching this. Perhaps I can help others avoid the same mistake by saying what others are afraid to - it's an enormous waste of production money and I'm disappointed Disney approved this budget.
