Unfortunately awful. - In every facet this is a completely different offering to band of brothers and Saving Private Ryan which is why most people will be excited to watch this . I can’t quite believe it’s made by the same people. Instead of realistic action and loveable human characters you get matinee idols and cheesy “go get em boys” style one liners. The CGI is so prevalent and writing so bad it felt at times more like a video game cut scene from a ww2 call of duty than a factual docudrama. That is before we even start on the missed opportunities, lazy disrespect shown to the RAF war effort and a story line that jumps around a whole lot. This series is in essence what happens when “If it wasn’t for us you would be speaking German” gets a huge budget.
