Honestly hard to watch. Protagonist has an insufferable tone. Not sure why weirdo serial killers are in vogue but compare a film like this to something like Se7en or Hannibal, and it's night and day. The quality of film-making isn't there. The weird hell imagery looks cartoonish and worst of all, the whole film just feels incredibly pointless. Watching someone bumble around and mess up his kills, and killing in a way that is both meaningless and boring just doesn't scratch any itch for me. Hard pass.

Pretty great film that really brings you into a rather depressing reality the characters live in. The vibe reminded me a lot about The Fighter with Christian Bale which is yet another depressing movie about doing your best and getting absolutely destroyed no matter how hard you try. Anguishing journey, highly recommend.

Going out with a whimper. If you enjoyed the Equalizer 1 and 2, this is really nothing like the previous films. Unlike John Wick 4 which had a nice close to the series, Equalizer 3 has much fewer fights, and what few you get are of lower quality than the previous films. The new location where the movie takes place is boring. The fights seem inconsequential and the new characters introduced lack any real well, character. INCREDIBLY boring. The new villains do not put up any semblance of a fight, there is little noteworthy character development on Denzil's part. I really hated how bad this movie was, and hated it more for effectively ruining the decent action blueprint that Equalizers 1 and 2 presented. Actual friday night garbage movie
