I’m gonna be real honest as a middle child who had to watch this with my decade younger sister This show sucks The only redeeming thing is the character outfits ((except Sofia)), the animation in scenery I guess, And MY FAVE AVA AND VALENTINA But the rest? No, some Characters feel like the usual bland while others is the trope but with “a twist” to them However the story falls flat when you realize it tried one upping itself in a boring way, oh the villain is free, the same villain comes back! Turns out there’s a villain that existed in the same first villain era and we accidentally caused a timeline issue that we won’t fix and just recon it! Like, no, they want to make the villains serious but the issue is they give is henchmen that is 90% jokes and 10% actual villainy, like candy apples if the candy was watery. And Sofia, she’s the worst character of all. She’s the “Oh I’m a friend still learning” but she doesn’t change, twilight sparkle for example is a flawed friend but it’s other friends who kind of bully her sometimes. It’s visible she’s at easy trying from season 1 to season 9 While Sofia is still the same in season 1, still not trusting anyone or telling them what she’s planning, like her dad. Which is horrible They’re not really Teaching kids that this is a bad friend, they’re trying to show but not actually mail in WHY what she’s doing is bad, and with actual consequences. On that case, they try evolving the characters but they don’t take it in an actual way. Oh Valentina saved her aunt from the rubble, she’s changed! No, that’s her FAMILY, not some strangers goofing off on her team. Of COURSE she’d stay back for her aunt, she has such large boast AND respect for her family name, it’d make more sense of Sofia or one of sofia’s closest friends was the one to get trapped. Since it’d show, “hey, they’re not family but she’d stay behind for her team even if they are close to failing”, regardless for her need to win AND family name. It’s the basic kids show in a way for cash grab, seeing as one horse toy can cost 11 on Amazon I wouldn’t recommend it

I got too attached to the protagonist, kinned her too hard, so I cried double at most of the episodes that had her practically being kicked by the series. On my knees crying from episode 7 10/10 series with only a tiny bit of flaws like what time these events take place between episodes, but even without that it’s still an amazing show Solver Uzi 1:03 hits so hard the OST

Show was eh, personally didn’t enjoy it, felt bored after a few minutes. But that’s also the same for the main movies
