I came here after a first-hand experience of the bureaucracy this show "fictionalises" so well. A simple question about whether the new "energy efficiency ceiling insulation standards" applied to mid-floor apartments or just top-floor ones, was passed to the "Environment and Planning", who then informed me I was speaking to the wrong business unit, and needed to talk with "Environment and Heritage". They had no idea and sent me back to Access Canberra, who then told me to look up climatechoices.gov.au, and actsmart (landing page says go to climatechoices.gov.au) where no relevant info could be found. Eventually I was advised to email the Sustainable Housing Scheme but I think I'll just watch an episode of Utopia and wait for a fine in a month's time for not complying with the standard. Isn't it funny no one has any idea how to comply, but suddenly everyone is an expert when you haven't?
