The show would be fine as a stand alone, but they’ve taken the trilogy taken bits and pieces from it and tried to patch together the original story line. Since Rowan, a Michael and Lasher are kind of the main characters, the show has done them a dirty. If you haven’t read the books it’s alright but avoid it if you have or consider it as a totally different set of Mayfairs. It’s a shame this show started production as Anne Rice was dying because I think she might have had something to say about its butchery.
