Nolan once said, "chase your reality". That is all well and fine. The movie fails to distinguish the reality and dream. And I am personally fine with a movie exploring such extents. What is disappointing is the way things are perceived by people who after watching this movie seem to believe that we choose our reality as in even dreams could be reality. As a standalone, I would have rated this movie slightly higher even with its flawed plot and issues that it fail to resolve. But with the kind of hyped interest that the world has been showing towards such delusions and this movie being one of its proponents, I had to rate it with what I did.

This is a must watch movie. Show it in theatres, schools, universities, community halls and in open grounds. How many such deeply affecting movies, documentaries, speeches and acts have to be done that people understand and respect humanity? Can we just live and let live without judging, make life easier for one and all? Excellent acting, excellent plot, excellent direction. Made an impact by being as light as possible, but not superficial. I wish we would learn from our past mistakes and choose not to be psychopaths or their blind vassals.

A must watch movie. This is the movie of a man who stood up and delivered when it mattered the most. Anyone who thinks that somebody else is evil needs to look within first.

It doesn't matter how many such movies are made or books written, for when a few powerful decide to set an agenda or narrative for the nation, anybody who opposes it is naturally against the nation. It doesn't matter if people running the government institutions are right leaning or left, if people do not support certain something done by the government, they are anti-national. The government then twists the existing laws to run their own agenda, to target the citizens of the nation who are perhaps more patriotic than those running the government. To the government, only those who agree with their narrative are patriotic, rest are anti-national. It doesn't matter to those setting an agenda or spewing a narrative which destroys a nation but help themselves, that the nation is also made of these people who do not agree. It is a sad affair that there is not much change even after 50 years since these events depicted in the movie.

Moved me to tears watching this one. How many times the obvious need to be made simpler for one to understand ?

A good movie that shows the curves in life beautifully. Not everything goes as planned always. Keep faith and everything will be alright. Going to watch part 2.

This is what happens when one thinks of self as god.

While the movie is something to cheer in an otherwise not so cheerful times, it doesn't stand out as something that cannot be missed. The plot of the movie is comparably good to other crime thrillers. The let down is the way story is told and editing of movie. It is excruciatingly slow at times and at important moments hasten up. The dialogues do not flow naturally either, they seemed to be placed there to help the turns of plot. The acting of the two lead characters was fine, rest of the cast probably felt the burnt of shoddy writing. What could have easily been a top notch crime thriller settled to be an above par drama.

A hyped up movie. Also, it's one thing to console people and another to condone sin. There is an objective truth and maybe many subjective perspectives of the same. But subjective perspectives can't take the place of objective truth.

I came to know of this documentary via an article suggested by Google. I watched the movie on Netflix which perhaps uses similar techniques to suggest what I may like. And now I am reviewing the movie on Google. This all might seem ironic, however the 'take home' message for me is that- I must control the technology as a tool to aid and make my life better and I must not be used by technology as a tool for some agenda that I wouldn't be part of otherwise. The movie hardly offers much positivity about the benefits of social media, but from whatever little it does point out, it's enough to understand and accept the benefits of social media, news articles or any other app which the internet can provide. The movie also in varying degrees of social acceptance suggest ways we can circumvent the dilemma before us. The aspects discussed in the documentary are not completely new as people in powerful positions had hinted at such a misuse by them in so many words, but we may have overlooked. Concerned citizens and groups thereof had also warned about the same. This documentary however puts it plainly for us to see that while similar problems did exist before the current social media troubles, none has been of significant or similar magnitude. The documentary attempts to provide an understanding atleast from a technological point of view as to why democracies across our globe have been in turmoil over the last decade or so. I am hoping people watch this, initiate and partake in discussions and perhaps look for solutions both within and without the technology before its too late.
