So far, I want to like it but the main character is just too one dimensional and the other characters are just generally not very interesting. Had a pretty metal beginning but without any charm or playfulness it's hard to be invested. Right now I could summarize the whole thing by saying powerful character wants everyone to die and doesn't listen to anyone. There are essentially no other dynamics of note.
Cool magic etc. I'll give it a couple more episodes because I am hoping it'll improve and I like the concepts but overall I think I would not have started it knowing what I know now

This show is remarkably cute and clever, it has excellent vocabulary and doesn't subscribe to archaic concepts that childhood normally entails. Instead of reinforcing that rules are some strange God we must obey it shows that being observant and deciding for yourself what is best is to be valued above all. It does so I'm a warm and funny way with witty dialogue and exciting surprises.
