From the age of 8 years old, this program took me around the world, educated me about other cultures and gave me my very first penpal. The art of letter writing was astoundingly FUN and you excitedly looked forward to your pen friend's response via "snail mail" when the postal worker made a delivery. I believe that some things are priceless... The internet is wonderful and has its place in this intriguing new world of opportunity. Sadly though.. you can have thousands of "friends" and subscribers (for ratings) yet not know any of them nor even want to! If the genius idea of this unique program can be updated, revitalized and reintroduced, I do believe it can offer family programming a much needed alternative to the zombie like fixation on handheld gadgets. Hmmm...I think I will watch a few episodes...
