No, it's not a happy movie with a happy ending; one you would watch with your family. But I think the acting is terrific. I love Alyssa Milano, Reese Witherspoon and Mark Waulberg. It's a flashback to the 90s and when I was a older teenager watching it, I remember connecting it to a previous abusive relationship I was in...nothing even remotely close to this movie, but it's sad how you put all of your emotions into that first guy, just to be disappointed and hurt. As a teenager, your first boyfriend is most likely not going to be the one you end up with. I feel for Reese's character- always wanting to give him a 2nd chance. 💔 I have 3 daughters and will never wish any type of abusive upon them.

If I could rate a hundred stars for this movie, I would! It was amazingly put together, and I just love Matthew McConaughey. Anne Hathaway also was great! Matt Damon had a small part. A must watch. My 12 year old daughter was very emotional .The movie is definitely a roller coaster of emotions. The ending was a bit of a let down though.
