Without an ounce of uncertainty, Anjaam Pathira is one of the best Thriller movies the Malayalam industry have seen to date. Even though describing it WITHOUT ENTERING INTO its SPOILERS is difficult, I am trying to do so to be of help for those who haven't watched it yet and are looking for genuine user reviews. Even when Anjaam Pathira has all that is expected out of a typical psychological thriller: a series of killings - a serial killer in loose and a justifying motive, where Anjaam Pathira traverse to another level of thriller in Malayalam industry is in its ORIGINAL and STRONG PLOT, GRIPPING SUSPENSE ELEMENT and FLAWLESS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. The film manages to MAINTAIN the THRILLING MOMENTUM it gained in the first half throughout the film, even when second-half felt comparatively a bit slow. The film also draws a clear POLITICAL MESSAGE which finds much relevance in recent times. Attempting a 2hrs 33min film WITHOUT even a SONG OR any unnecessary romance sequence, require ample nerve from the director, hence is truly applaudable. From a stalwart entertainer director to the scriptwriter and director of a gripping thriller, Midhun Manuel Thomas has undoubtedly traversed into the new horizon with flying colours. All the actors, including those who had just small segments like Indrans and Jaffer Idukki, have shown complete justice to their roles. The efficiency of Shyju Khalid in capturing some virgin Kochi frames and dark frames along with a captivating Background score by Sushin Shyam makes Anjaam Pathira an exceptional Theatrical Experience. Choose a Theatre of good audio-visual standards for the best experience. A must watch if suspense-thriller movie is your cup of tea :)
