If you didn't take the time out to read the book, it's a good series ... But for those of us who read the book, it sucked! They took more time to dwell on the black struggle, instead of the actual book it was taken from! It feels more racially motivated then the story ever was! For those of us who have wanted to see this bc of the book we read, it was disappointing. I don't understand why they took a great story and rearranged it to please everyone but the ppl who have read the book? If you have no previous background on this story, it's quite good... But if you were looking for Anne Rice's Interview with a vampire, this is not it!!
