The Pig's Egg is a cute simple yet a very meaningful story book. This book was gifted to me a few months back by my friend. It was like revisiting simplicity and getting this book in my adulthood made my inner child feel good and happy. I liked the story very much. While reading it there comes many moments that makes you ponder upon the true meaning behind the story, however I feel the moral/ meaning could be perceived in many ways.
From my point of you, it is a human nature to love. The Pig's loneliness leads him to find a baby in the moth in a half rotten turnip. May it be only his imagination but the fact that he chooses to love and care for the little one despite the difference in their kind helps the moth grow into a beautiful butterfly one day and also brings the most indescribable happiness to the Pig.
The moth represents a child-fragileand helpless all it needs is your love and care until it finds its way into the world outside.
That love could be received by anyone, as love comes more naturally to humans than hatred, indifference or any other ignorant qualities of a human.
