After seeing reports of negative reviews, I decided to watch it to make up my own mind. Imo, it has been an eye opener and it was definitely uncomfortable to watch the girls dance but i got the point of the movie. Big parenting lesson there! What I'm not understanding is why there's no major outrage about what the mother was going through in relation to her marriage...she was clearly affected by having to accept the husband taking on a 2nd wife and prepping for the wedding based on her religious belief (*I thought polygamy was illegal in France since 1993).
