This was quite possibly the best movie I have ever watched in my life. My heart soared with inspiration. My skin felt cold and clammy from disgust. I noticed my mouth dropped open in awe. This is a movie I would watch again and again. The cinematography was staggering, the plot was perfectly paced and the acting was breathtaking. I spent two hours discussing the deeper meanings and learnings with my partner until the early morning after we returned from the theatre. There is so much to unpack in this film. The thing about Dune is that it’s not spoon-fed to the audience. Dennis Villeneuve expects his audience to watch the movies more than once and to do their own research into the world of Dune. It’s not an easy casual watch, but it is so worth the time and effort.
