There were a few cute scenes but the series overall takes a really long time to go basically nowhere. It seems like the show runners are trying to stretch not much material to add many hours of screentime as possible. The kid character's role is too big for such a young actor and while the older cast tries to carry him, it doesn't really work, especially at the beginning.
I can't really tell what the target audience for this is because it's really dark for a kid's show and rather uninteresting, predictable, and simple minded for an older audience. I've watched straight up children's shows with more substance and a greater respect for the intelligence of it's audience than this.
It wasn't awful, but I regret wasting my time.
