I have finished reading this book today. Was it easy for me to pick up and put down? Yes. But I'm not sure for the right reasons.
The book starts out quite strong, the story of a couple in their fifties, house and business lost, they have nothing to lose going for a walk on the salt path. The book generally gives a sense of human will prevailing against the homelessness trials and tribulations.
They retell the tale of wild camping, illegally camping on sites using the showers and shuffling off by morning, being cafe opportunists and cheap noodle diets when it comes to getting fed and watered. All the while getting by on disability allowance provided by the state.
