the movie gave a great depiction of grooming through the eyes of the victim. the moments that should have felt disgusting gave the viewer a false reality as well. for the teacher to take a vulnerable student who has nobody and make her feel seen and loved is cruel, and for the writers to portray him as a savior rather than the antagonist seems intentional. the antagonist of the story was a very complex character, and i appreciated the representation of hyper sexuality as a result of sexual trauma. there is also so much unsaid which makes the movie and its characters more intriguing.
