Incredible series, literally my 8th time reading the set - first time Lightbringer though. This one seemed a little shallow and like the author was grasping at straws though. Relationships also started feeling forced and inorganic, especially Darrow and Cassius. I can see them rekindling, but can't see Cassius jacking it to Darrow constantly out of the blue like he does. Main characters also starting to feel immortal and untouchable - kind of like how GOT went, I hope the next book is the last book.

The CGI and cinematography is absolutely next level! Season one and two were quite great and revolutionary, but it died off very quickly after that. But the writing, characters and story lines are just pathetic. Characters are one dimensional linear and there is literally no progression with anyone - aside from Saru who slowly turns into an absolute simp. I'm forcing myself to watch Season 5 incase something changes, but my hope is waining with every minute. Watch one and two and view them as prequels for Strange New Worlds (which is amazing) and stop there
