a beautiful piece of art. Halle makes the perfect Ariel, from her voice to her sweetness and innocence! So happy to see Carribean music and people represented in the film as well, since thats where its set in the og. I watched the movie when i was around 5 so it made me a bit emotional to see how much depth they put into the story, even while going by the book 95% of the way through. ariel’s wanting to be human goes beyond love at first sight but her innate fascination with human life and their gadgets and gizmos. the music was great. McCarthy was gorgeous. watch it in Dolby and just enjoy the vibrancy of the film! :)
