What I know for sure about Halloween Kills is that the residents of Haddonfield are incredibly useless in defending themselves against one man even with all the weapons at their disposal. What's even worse is that the police in the town are equally as inadequate in maintaining the law and also handling their firearms. It doesn't help much that Michael Myers is a one man army that borders very close to being superhuman. I doubt even a tank or nuclear bomb could take him out at this stage. How tough can this 70 year old man really be? I just felt disappointed since the first movie in this series was so great. Everyone in this one deserved to die because of their pure stupidity. I often laughed at most of the deaths which in the end is not what the film intends to do.

This film is no horror masterpiece but it is still surprisingly enjoyable when you willing to suspend your beliefs and not judge several gaping holes in logic throughout. James Wan clearly wanted to create his most ridiculous work yet and he has succeeded. With each passing minute, Malignant out does itself with more outrageous plot details. An imagery phantom that can control electricity is later revealed to be something more unbelievable and completely ridiculous. Hallucinations turn out to be some complex form of mind control. Whatever the story presents at first is surpassed by something more incredible later on. Yet despite the outlandish story and completely hollow characters ( who serve only to lead the audience to the next shocking reveal), Wan still manages to keep the antics entertaining even though it might be a stretch at a near 2 hour runtime.

With a simple plot and some adorable pitbulls, "Becky" somehow feels hollow. Kevin James is especially delightful as the main antagonist but despite all the brutality he piles on, I could not find myself cheering Becky to victory. "Becky" is a rebellious young girl whose lost her mother and is somewhat angry with the world. When her father brings her to her family cabin house, they unfortunately encounter a group of savage supremacists who recently escaped from incarceration. Is it because Becky is highly unlikeable? Or merely that any thriller or slasher loving audience has been here before? Despite all the violence, and there is plenty, nothing really was shocking and there was a lack of urgency in the proceedings. Despite all the promise, "Becky" is dull and often unnecessarily brutal.

Season 2 surpasses Season 1 in almost every way. More violent, funnier and down right cheekier than before. Even the stunt work and CGI is vastly improved. The Boys still over reaches with it's social commentary but who cares? The ride is a blast and the finale leaves a lot of plot strands open for what should be a must-watch third season. Will Homelander get his revenge? Will the Boys deal with their new adversary who hides in sheep's clothing? And what schemes are being formulated on the 82nd floor of Vought?

A serial killer who imitates the crimes of other serial killers brings out an agoraphobic psychologist from retirement. She is enlisted to help hunt him down by two detectives (one of whom is the brilliant Holly Hunter). The novelty of a copycat serial killer doesn't add enough originality to "Copycat". It all feels like I have watched similar and more well executed movies like this one. In fact, "Copycat" seems to unashamedly copy a major detail from "Silence of the Lambs" by having it's protagonist consult with an incarcerated madman in order to help catch the active killer. Indeed I was entertained in numerous part by this thriller, however as far serial killer movies go, "Copycat" isn't one of the most impressive or memorable.

Entertaining movie throughout. It simply has the misfortune of being a prequel to a 1982 classic movie with the same title. When comparing both films, it is glaringly obvious that this 2011 sci fi horror is the lesser of the two in terms of character development and tension. That does not mean there aren't plenty of thrills to keep the audience going. Shapeshifting aliens in the harsh icy terrain of the Antarctic still have plenty of mileage. Along with good visuals and a talented cast, "The Thing" although forgettable, is worth a night in.

This sequel spends almost two thirds of its runtime preparing for the last act which ends up being as good as the rest of the movie should have been. Wonder Woman is taken through a sentimental love trip that strips away at her feminist core. The action in the beginning is few and far between but alas the climatic last 45min make it worth it for anyone who makes through to the end. Overall, a weak follow up to the 2017 blockbuster hit.
