What a film! Its length worried me but didn’t need to as I was swept along by the story from start to finish. Tom Hanks, as always, was brilliant but it is Austin Butler who needs applauding here for his superb portrayal of Elvis. The film had an authentic feel throughout from 1950’s Beale Street to 1970’s Las Vegas. Costumes and hairstyles moved with the times. This has to stand as the definitive Elvis biopic. There will be no need for more.
