The premise and trailer were interesting, but within the first 30 min the movie ruins any tension or suspense in the plot. It is not scary at all, except for a couple of jumpscares and by the end there were moments of audible laughter in the audience, as the story devolved and became more ridiculous and illogical. The movie borrows several tropes from the horror genre, but none of these elements are fleshed out or have any real bearing on the story. At the end, there is a lot left unexplored and many of the events/characters are explained away as the "just because" kind of evil. There is no psychological tension as characters are not given proper context or progression throughout the runtime. Overall, the movie does not work as a horror and is deeply unsatisfying in terms of storyline.
