Loved the subtilities of acting on display from Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard. The entire film goes at a perfect tempo that is neither too fast nor too slow. If it is was any faster, we would've been lost on knowing the depth of their love story or any slower, we would've been bored for the lack of intent in the film. Pitt taps into a never-before-seen side of him as a soldier and mesmerises us with his inner conflicts, disappointments, rage, swagger and innumerable emotions that has no name. If you're a director who wants to make a war movie and expect your lead actor to elevate the role into the highest echelons of acting, this movie is a testimonial of Pitt's abilities. (Not that he ever required one. :D)
