Unfortunately her editors and proofreaders miserably failed her.The terrorist attack that she refers to in San Bernardino CA where 14 people were killed took place at a San Bernardino County Public Health training event not at a gay nightclub. The gay nightclub terrorist attack took place in Orlando ,FL. I honestly don’t know how to reconcile what I thought up to that page was an outstanding , raw , non varnished view of the history of the United States with such a glaring easily confirmable fact that was not corrected. Ms Lepore, if you haven’t already done this , immediately fire your agent and any proofreaders or editorial staff that you employ. They have not served you well.
