Easily one of the worst movies of the year. Protagonists behaving like children. The 3 friends in the movie have zero skills, unemployable even in their home city, no English language knowledge, and no money. So they decide to do what any sane person does in this case. They now want to go to London at any cost. Just don't ask them to acquire any relevant skills or to learn English, the language of the people in London nor they can first go to any big city within India to work, learn, and earn money. They only want to go to London, and still once they reach their they cry for not having opportunities and shame the only friend who is at least doing something for 'begging'! Such entitled bunch of people!
In IELTS too by hook or crook 1 of the friend passes speaking but what about listening, reading and writing! Nothing, he is just shown to pass IELTS. Shoddily written and directed movie with just scenes patched after one another for don't know how many hours. We fast forwarded a lot of the movie.
You can see the director is trying to create the same emotional arc of 3 idiots, but that falls flat in Dunki.
Couldn't care less of characters dying including Tapsee's character at the end. Felt relieved when the movie ended.
Can only think how excruciating it would have been seeing this in theatres.
