Omar Sy did a pretty fantastic job acting his part and Harrison Ford did ok, but his part wasn’t that impressive bringing down his overall effect on the movie. The overall cgi I was terrible. I have had experience making visual animations and the hair effect was not on point and often times the hair would go through walls and bodies. The cgi on the water was very good and had the proper water drop shape. They also left out major key parts in the movie that were in the book, such as spitz death and the putting down of some of the dogs They should have sacrificed pg for pg-13 to make the movie more accurate. Majority of the movie was a 5/10 but the end had a decent ending with more meaning then the rest of it making it an 8/10. I would have given it four stars had I not read the book before hand, so if you are taking your kids that haven’t read the book they will enjoy it. The movie is fast and slow, what I mean by that is that it took long to get to the interesting parts and then at the end you were like: “Wait? That was it?”
