I find it funny the people criticizing this film for the non-white characters, when in reality, those actually portrayed were Celts. Not English, not American, but the ancient Welsh. It's a tale that a dying culture clung too, yet still exists today in a beautiful medium. Humans have been interacting for so long, and this film does an amazing job of retracing ancient themes in ways that still resonate to this day. I read the Green Knight in high school, but it was not until this film adaptation that I truly understood -- and appreciated -- it.
A cinematic pleasure, as well.
