Aven

Unclenching the Fists manages to consistently evoke strong emotions that are in direct conflict with one another. Rarely have I felt as much empathetic distress for a fictional character as I did for Ada in this movie, and yet I found the film hopeful rather than depressing. The most powerful scene is simultaneously excruciating, liberating, gut-wrenching, and heartwarming.
