Mike O'Keefe

Very accessable music. A mixture of melodic pop and psychedelic tracks. I consider it their best album. Half the songs are brilliant New Wave-esqe hits by Andy Partridge. The song Mayor of Simpleton, from the Oranges and Lemons album, would not be out of place on this work. I believe that producer Gus Dudgeon was largely responsible for allowing the group to shine on this collection. It's a more polished version of something like Dukes of the Stratosphere. Much, much better than their Skylarking album.
