Read all the original books by Lee Child. Watched the 1st 2 eps already.
This series gets it RIGHT.
Ritchson is perfectly cast, and brings a terrific blend of physicality, cleverness, and wit as Reacher. Willa Fitzgerald and Malcolm Goodwin are terrific as Conklin and Finlay, and the interplay among them is crackling good fun.
Rick-solid action choreography, effectively shot, and the use of flashbacks works both to adapt/ expand the story for the first (out of hopefully many more) seasons, but also to replace some of the internal monologues used in the novels.
Not the most picturesque or location-driven production, as the “Georgia” setting could be anywhere that welcomes film/ TV production. Some intense/ gory scenes may not be suitable for sensitive viewing.
This one will please all the die-hard and casual Reacher fans, and the charm and talents of the leads on display deserve a solid look by newer audiences. This is a fantastic intro to the Reacher stories.
