Great art direction… But that’s it. This is not even a horror film. It is a bait and switch on the idea of it. They reimagine the Original story and then “spoiler alert” they pull out the carpet from under you and revise it again in the middle of the film to sort out the plot at the end. Theeeeeeen you have to hear Gretel give a long monologue about “coming into her power“ eff off..... My friend who saw the movie with me says, finding a toenail in your cupcake would be far scarier...
