As I’m not a huge Star Wars fan, but I am a huge Science Fiction fan I feel like I can be honest about this. So I’ve seen everything that’s Star Wars live action. (Rogue One made my top 10). This is just bad Sci-Fi in general. Sure the production value is great, it is Disney after all. Even some of the actors and actresses do a reasonable job, but as a whole it’s very ham fisted. Seems like it’s trying too hard to stand out from the crowd of Star Wars films/series when really all the franchise fans want is more of the same old formula. Now obviously I’ve only watched 3 episodes but considering that’s most likely about 40% of the episodes I’ll carry on. If Social Media is to believed then a lot of fans aren’t happy with what the producer/director/cast have said, but that doesn’t bother a non-fan like me. What bothers me is the dodgy storyline that is all over the place, making little sense (maybe I need to know the canon), the poor fight scenes that looked hastily concocted. The characters on screen are ludicrously devoid of any depth, or even character. In previous movies/series each Jedi seemed unique. These are more like non descript Jedi Stormtroopers. Cardboard cutouts with no soul. Overall I’d avoid this series if you’re a fan of the franchise AND if you’re not a fan of the franchise. I’ll tell you what it feels like as you watch it, it feels like it was made by somebody who hates the franchise. It was made without love and with Star Wars I think you have to love the Star Wars universe. And maybe I’m wrong, maybe the people who made it are mega-fans but who are just awful at their job. I feel sorry for Star Wars fans.

Overall it’s reasonably terrible. The only thing worse than the movie itself is the audio. Even French people don’t wanna listen to the French language for over an hour and a half. Unfortunately the English dubbing is, as usual, poor but still preferable to listening the original audio. Avoid this movie unless you wanna leave your brain at the door.

I’ve owned a lot of games over the years. Over various platforms. I currently own an Xbox Series X and a PS5. My PS5 has been collecting dust for over a year, as even though they a good selection of games for all gamers. Including some damn good exclusives. They just weren’t for me. Then I saw a trailer for Helldivers 2 and the patriot within began to stir. I knew it was time to do my part. To help spread managed democracy. Initially I thought the graphics weren’t great, but an Instagram reel (of all things) made me change my mind. Changed a few tiny settings and all of a sudden the path was clear. Now don’t get me wrong, RDR2 they are not. But they ARE good. The player movement and gunplay is as solid as you’re gonna get in a 3PS. It’s better than GoW player movement. In fact I’d say it’s quite reminiscent of The Division 2 player movement, minus the sticky cover of course. The action is non stop. The suspense is real. The gunplay is actually great. Each gun feels different. And the customisation to each weapon is actually more in-depth than you’ll initially think. Each planet you visit is dangerous. You’ll often hear the bugs before you see them, which puts you on edge. And then it starts. All hell breaks loose, and there will be casualties. You will be a casualty of friendly fire, trust me, with the level of scorched earth raining down from the heavens above, a victim you will be. Danger Close is just another Thursday, “get some!!!!”’ Do yourself a favour, buy this game. Play with your friends or play with some randoms and you will not be disappointed. I think I counted 40 different stratagems (kind of killstreaks on cooldown), and each one I’ve used was fun and also pleasing to use. You feel like you’re bringing the pain. I’m still only squashing bugs as my first encounter with the Automatons did not go well. PTSD is real people. Please don’t miss out on this game. It’s 4am and I’m about to drop in again. Whoever made this game has made one of the best games of my lifetime. It’s the game I’ve always wanted and didn’t even know it. You will have fun. You will have lots and lots of fun. When was the last time you felt a rush playing a game? How long ago since you genuinely had an amazing time playing a game? What are you waiting for Citizen? Are you going to do your part? Graphics, gameplay and gunplay all AAA. “Get some! Get SoME! GET SOME!!!”

My 2nd favourite Predator movie after the iconic original. I really hope the people who made this movie make sequels. Yep, sequels. This was set in a 1719 North America. That means there’s about 275 years of potential prequels to Predator. This movie is well shot, has some brilliant visuals and arguably the best Predator fight scenes from the franchise. Personally, I’d like to see Predator in Africa hunting all the big game and either Zulu warriors and the English colonial forces. Maybe Japan to face off against Samurai, or even Scandinavia matching up against Vikings. The timeline continuation wouldn’t really satisfy Samurai and Vikings as they predate 1719. But, there’s smarter people than me that could figure out Prey sequels. Where to set them and who against.
