(This is meant to be a spoiler free review so don’t read if you are looking for storyline hints) In the spirit of Friday the 13th, we decided to make a movie night out of Longlegs and, for the most part, each of us stayed actively engaged and device free. This is not a norm for my family. With that, I must say it was the authentically retro-esqueness in which Longlegs was filmed and how uniquely eerie weird it was that kept us watching from start to finish. Maika Monroe played the Agent Harker role in such a strangely good haunted way - it was kind of captivating honestly and I feel she was the true star of this one. The storyline is chilling and stays with you. It also serves as further confirmation that we should never buy life like dolls with eyes that close and shut - EVER. I highly recommend this movie if you want a good psychological thriller less horror but still scary kind of movie night.
