Shows the utter futility of war and the mateship between Australian soldiers who spent over 700 days fighting in France during WW1.
The main character Jim's change in perspectives and questions about things was evident, along with the positive roles played by officers.
I usually dislike war focused movies but this one was done sensitively, without the full blown gore of something like "Black Hawk Down" that I had to walk out of sobbing noisily some years ago.
