Nitesh Tiwari directed 'Bawaal' deserves to be India's entry to the Oscars. It is an Indian made for a Global audience and deservedly could also be a worthy Oscar winner.
Seldom comes along a movie which combines history with current reality, practicality with shades of hypocricy, romance with comedic tragedy. Varun Dhawan, Jhanvi, the supporting cast are good, but the stardom weight is in the script, screen play and direction of this movie. Historic black and white remanants shot of the horrors of World War 2 that sentimentally immerse and merge so beautifully with the naivety of its main actor's character with dialogues that speak factual truth, emotionally tug your heart and brain, and educate every human that no matter any war- worldly or even within relations- are propoganda opinionated. The movie has many great dialogues, but my favorite is the one explained by Janhvi to Varun on the parallel of how we humans are still so similar to Hitler.
