Slow start. The story line bounces from one thread to another leaving the viewer hopeful of eventually linking the two. There seems to be a cringe worthy feel knowing the real story of the Sharon Tate murders, so this movie leaves those that lived in this era dreading what is “historically” to come. Terrific throwback photography of both businesses and products of the 60’s. A few good one liner laughs from all characters. I don’t enjoy fight scenes usually but seeing some of these characters getting what’s coming to them was a surprise for me. With all the dread I had of the ending, I actually enjoyed the ending as it left me feeling both sad for the real victims of this massacre so many years ago and wishing this ending was what had happened in real life. (Love the dog). This was a good Saturday at the movies flick but I’d still give it a 5 out of 10.
