I'm someone who doesn't cry while watching movies but this movie made me cry. It sucks how people are judged for loving who they want to love and being who they want to be. No one should be restricted from being their truest selves. It is infuriating to see how the society has a very rigid idea of what is "normal" and any diversion from their "norm" is ridiculed and punished. So many people think there's something wrong with them just because they don't fit into society's ugly standards. I think this movie perfectly captures what it feels like to be queer in a Desi household. It takes a lot of courage to come out to yourself, let alone other people. The situation is a lot better now compared to the past but we still have a long way to go. I hope to see a world where no one has to come out. Happy Pride 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
