Shows like this crop up once in a blue moon. Funny ,original , takes the mickey out of N American pretentiousness and something to look forward to during full days.

Watched it on air Singapore flight. Don't think real jr Tolkien was anyway like the film counterpart. Brought home tragedy of ww1 in all its glory. Finish was very poor too many loose ends and only briefly commented that writers like jrk are born with the ability to write fantastic narrative. Whatever early life experiences jrk had are only important on a content level. The hobbit would have been the hobbit whatever happened.
