As I have never seen the first movie and probably never will after watching this film. Nails been driven down a black board is how I describe the acting. Apart from the real part of this film, ie the flying which is superb, for most I had my eyes shut. Does Tom Cruise really need the money, I think not. Obviously he must need it as he can only afford one jacket in the entire film. If you love overblown American BS, go see it, if not don’t.
